How-To: Retro Bouffa
If you’re looking for a hairstyle that will never not be ‘in vogue,’ a vintage ‘do is the perfect option. Versatile, chic, and a favorite of Audrey Hepburn, what’s not to love about this vintage beehive?
Step 1: Create a side part with a comb. It doesn’t matter which side you choose, just go with whatever feels most comfortable.
Step 2: Spray the roots and lengths with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray.
Step 3: Blow-dry and boost at the roots. The heat helps to add volume and set the extra height in place.
Step 4: Back-comb the roots, then re-spray them to ensure maximum hold.
Step 5: Gently brush the hair to smooth it over after back-combing. Be careful not to crush the volume you just created!
Step 6: Gently pull the sides back and pin to create a bouffant.
Top tip - Bump the hair forwards slightly as you pin it into place to add even more volume.
Step 7: Take the rest and form a low ponytail on the opposite side to your part.
